Horned OwlPreneur
First a few facts about today's subject. The Horned Owl has adapted to a wide variety of habitats. It is such a fierce hunter it has often been compared to a Tiger. It hunts in the dark like a Tiger and it kills instantly. It's stripes let it blend in with the forest pattern. It's feather tufts looks like a Tiger's ears and it has a face like an angry cat. It is a Tiger with wings that flies almost unseen through the darkness. It glides in soundless flight, using it's eyes and ears to find food. Each powerful feet has four toes and each toe ends with a talon as sharp as a razor blade. When the talon strikes an animal they spread apart and lock onto it. Their prey usually dies immediately. They use their talons to kill and carry animals several times heavier than themselves. The Owl must fly silently so that it can hear the slightest sound. If it's wings made any noise, it would not be able to locate it's prey. The owl's eyes are extremely sensitive to light, it hunts at night and sleeps during the day. Their eyes are 100 times more acute than human eyes. They can focus instantly to see either near or far. The Owl's brain is smaller than those two eyes together. The Owl has fourteen flexible neck bones. It can swivel it's head to see what is directly behind it while the rest of it's body is still facing forward. Owls are powerful birds and fiercely protective parents. They have been known to attack humans who wander too close to their young. So then you may now wonder what possible lesson could there be for me in this story? There are several things that we can learn by looking closely at this Horned Owl.
